1875 - Company founded in Bregenz
With the start of industrialisation, and the opening of the new railway line to Germany and Switzerland, the timing was perfect. The rented shop in Bregenz stocked kitchen equipment, agricultural equipment, cobbler's tools, nails and sewingmachines.

1880 - Purchase of Bregenz House at 11, Kaiser Street
More than 120 years ago, a warehouse was built up here as the Jos. Greußing Company branched out into wholesaling

1908 - Expansion of the warehouse

1939 - Takeover of a glass and porcelain business
and the resulting extension in stock to include new articles

1950 - Walter Greußing
After the death of Julius Greußing, his son Walter Greußing took over management of the company.

1955 - Expansion of wholesaling activities throughout the whole of Austria

1960 - Warehouse in Vienna rented

1965 - New central warehouse in Fußach
In spacious grounds covering 10000 m² in Fußach, the first section of a new central warehouse boasting some 1500 m² floor space was built.

1967 - German branch founded in Lindau BRD

1968 - Company becomes partner of the "kauf gut" purchasing company in Hockenheim, Germany

1973 - Restructuring of the Jos. Greußing Company, owned solely by W. Greußing, to become Jos. Greußing GesmbH & CO

1974 - Construction of warehouse with office in Vienna
The Jos. Greußing Company purchases a 4000 m² area of land in Vienna and builds here a warehouse with offices.

1975 - Expansion of the central warehouse in Fußach
The capacity of the central warehouse is enlarged by the addition of an extension, adding a further 1200 m² of floor space.

1979 - Michael Greußing Mag.
After graduating at St. Gallen university, and a subsequent training period in the USA, Michael Greußing Mag. - great-grandson of the company's founder - enters the company.

1981 - Director Michael Greußing Mag.
When the former owner and later partner and manager of the company, Walter Greußing, retires from business, his son takes over his position as managing director.

1982 - HAUSHALT INTERNATIONAL
Introduction of a comprehensive range of kitchen tools and gadgets on a unified card entitled "Haushalt International"
